banking in Nigeria as a means to curb merchants and save the risk of
parading with physical cash.
The system named a Cashlite or Cashless policy helps citizens to
make transact during business and make payment via what is called
e- Payment(Electronic Payment)

Electronic payment in the order hand, must be a trust source wherby
merchants validiates the payment option and this why the Mobile Money
Comes in.

Futhermore, Mobile Money is a payment solution that enables you pay
for goods and services via your mobile phones. It is one the e-
payment solution available in Nigeria in a Cashless Society of
Nigeria.
There are bodies that has license given to them by CBN( Central Bank
of Nigeria ) directly to render this service while some depend or
Partner with this body in order to render the same service.
Bear in Mind, that Mobile Money has Two Division Thus:


1. Operator Branded Mobile Money:
This simply means that it is a value added service offered by a
network operator to its subscribers, to enable them comfortabily pay
for purchased goods and Services via mobile phones.
Example
one of them is The MTN Mobile Money


2. Provider Branded Mobile Money:
They have the License given to them by CBN to offer/render Mobile
Money Services.
The Gain in this method is that they owe no network, can be use by
anyone and they partner with alot of banks.
Examples: QuikQik, PocketMoni, U-Mo Mobile e.t.c.

PocketMoni is the mobile money service that enables you create an
e-wallet on your phone for making payments, fund transfer as well as
recieving Money.







The below will show you how to setup yours in a short time.



1. At least have N100 on your phone.

2. Text the word " REG First Name, Last Name 003613 to 20220

Example: REG Marx Chiedoziem 003613
to 20220 from MTN and Airtel

3. You will get a text message with a 4 digit default Pin, copy it
down and text
" DPM " to 20220 without quote.

4. After that, you will get a PocketMoni Link, click on it to
download the application on your phone.

5. Check Games/Application area and install.

6. Now launch the App, enter your phone number as your Mobile Money
account number, followed by The Pin you recieved and any memorable
word you can remeber and finall, your Network Service Provider.

7. From Service Menu, change your pin and head onto funding your
Mobile Money Account before transactions can be possible.

There are Many ways To Fund your PocketMoni account.

1. Deposit Cash to PocketMoni Agents and get your account funded.

2. Visit a partner Bank and ask them to fund you PocketMoni For you.
Examples of Partner Banks are
GTB Bank, Fidelity, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank, UBA, Skye Bank e.t.c.

3. You can also add a debt/ATM card to your Mobile Money app which
enables you fund your PocketMoni Account before carrying out any transaction.
