STEP BY STEP ON CONFIGURATION OF HTC SMARTPHONES FOR BROWSING

As this is my major area of specialization and it's my delight to let you know difficulties you encounter and the possible solutions. What are those problem visible in this particular phone called HTC MOBILE
they are listed below:


1. Very difficult to browse free with it.

2. May not open most of Java applications. Example:Antivirus, Ucweb, some opera handler

3. To transfer some application to your freinds it's complicating

STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO CÖNFIGURE YOUR HTC MOBILE

==> Goto your Menu|Settings|connections==>GPRS | Click New
Now set the below first

Description
Connect to
Access Point
Username
Password
Authentication Type and others.

2. Now goto More=
Menu| Add hit "Edit"

Connect to=> internet
Access point=> web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net (FOR MTN NETWORK IN NIGERIA)
Authentication Type: CHAP


Finally, move to Proxy| press Menu and add the below
Description
Connect From=>WAP Network
Connect to=> Internet
Proxy=> Insert 10.199.212.2,| PORT: 8080
Give it a name so as to locate the manual settings you have just created.

Type=> WAP
Username and Password==> web

Now, when you are through with the above,just goto your MIDLET |MANAGER, then select one of the folder to start browsing on your HTC PHONE

HERE ARE SOME FEATURES FOUND IN HTC SMARTPHONES


1. Expert=> Calculate=> Internet Sharing (to connect to your PC)

PC CONNECTION: USB
NETWORK CONNECTION ==> CLICK MENU==>BLUETOOTH SETTING| CONNECTION SETTING

SIM MANAGER: This is where you your sim contacts, just goto Menu| scroll to contacts then to sim, edit or delete as you like.

Speed Dial| Voice mail| Window media

TASK MANAGER: Here you can view the capacity of the phone. That is, free memory usually in kilobytes(kb)
as mathematical
1000kb = 1mb(megabytes)
989mb= 1gb(gigabytes)

2. THE CAMERA: Snaps very clearly and can be zoom to any size of your choice.

3. COMMUNICATION MANAGER: Here you can easily on or off the phone's bluetooth, wifi, Ringer
to do that, click On Settings by your right view to set to your test.

NOTE: Setting to "Airplane Mode" turns your phone to silent, just look up by your left and see the "X" sign.

4.MIDLET MANAGER: It comprises of - Business, comms, Games, Media, Recent install, Recently Used and Utilities.
You can download any application or softwares compatible with your phone and choose from the above listed folders to save your applications.

5. MESSAGE OPTION: Here you can create and send text message on your phone.

6. FILE XPLORER: This is where you find the main files in your phone.
You also find below features:
A. My midlets, pictures, my Ringtones, Video, note Templates UA contents e.t.c

TO SHARE ANY FILE WITH YOUR FRIEND:

* Press Menu, then navigate to "Beam" and first of all create a bluetooth connection with your friend's phone,after successful connection, click on BEAM again to share your files with your friends easily.

TO EDIT ANY FILE OR IMAGE NAME:
* Goto your Menu| Edit, then press rename and rename it to your taste. AM I UNDERSTOOD?

B. TO LOCATE WHERE YOUR PICTURES ARE OR ANY FILE WHETHER VALID OR NOT VALID:
Click Menu, scroll to "MY DEVICE". then to "MY DOCUMENTS", and locate them or open the Programme Files (that is for files that are signed like operamini6.5)

C. STORAGE CARD: This is the same thing as your memory card with all folders contain in your phone memory. You can use the above method to edit, add, unzip or arrange your files too.

7. VIDEO RECORDER: That is for recording videos.
You find other features like ==> Office Mobile| Excel Mobile| Power point Mobile and word mobile.

8. WINDOW MEDIA: It is the same as MUSIC PLAYER AS IN NOKIA PHONES. You will see many features like- -
MY MUSIC [Just press play or click menu to play videos and musics.
You can also play Television by navigating to "MY TV" and edit playing option in "MY PLAYLIST"

Lastly, we have
INTERNET EXPLORER: It is your web browser and need to be perfectly configured to access the internet. One thing that makes me happy is that it can download a large file very fast if, you have a faster internet connection.Another one is that you can easily turn it to "DESKTOP VIEW" which means you can blog with your HTC SMARTPHONES.

FOR FASTER CONNECTION:
Click on Menu| Tools |Options| just navigate to "CONNECTION",
then select NETWORK: WAP NETWORK.

TO SET TO YOUR TASTE:
* Press Menu , scroll to Tools ,click favourites to save pages or click HISTROY to return back to the last page, click on View to set it to the size of your screen or to turn to " DESKTOP VIEW".
